Prof. (Dr.) Geer M. Ishaq
Dr Geer Mohammad Ishaq is working as Professor in Pharmacology at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Kashmir, J&K, India, where he has been working for the last twenty years. He has been instrumental in designing and starting a post-graduate programme in Pharmacy Practice at his University and is presently in-charge of this programme. Dr Geer has also served as a Drug Control Officer with the Govt. of J&K, India for a period of about three years prior to joining the Kashmir University. He holds a doctorate in Pharmacology and has research interests in Pharmacovigilance, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical Care, Drug Utilization Evaluation, Pharmaceutical Policy, Quality Control and Rational Use of Medicines. Prof.. Geer has so far published 51 research articles besides more than 120 popular articles and presented several papers in various national and international conferences. He has reviewed and revised the premier drug policy in his home state of J&K. Dr. Geer has delivered more than 125 extension lectures outside his department.
